SA Welcomes new Ford Kuga in 2013

15 Nov 2012

The Kuga boasts a 4-star safety rating with airbags surrounding the entire car.
Ford’s EcoBoost engine technology claims to deliver the fuel economy of a smaller engine with the power of a bigger engine, by using twin independent variable camshaft timing with turbocharging and direct fuel injection technology. The EcoBoost engine is offered coupled to the 6-speed SelectShift transmission which allows you to shift between an automatic or ‘manual mode’. The Kuga 2.0-litre TDCi diesel engine is mated to a 6-speed PowerShift auto transmission which pre-selects your next gear.
The new Kuga also features – aside from the new efficient engine technologies and the bolder design – the voice-activated SYNC connectivity system which allows you to make and answer phone calls and manage your music and media by simply speaking. The Active Park Assist aids drivers in finding a suitable parking spot and then one simply needs to put the car into gear and remove your hands from the steering wheel to let the car park itself.
Safety technologies on the Kuga include adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot information system, lane keeping aid and active city stop while driving at speeds of up to 30km/h. The Kuga boasts a 4-star safety rating with airbags surrounding the entire car.
The full details of the range, including exact prices, will be released with Ford’s launch of the new Kuga in 2013.
